Bassnectar is taking time off of touring in order to create his new album.

Earlier today, Bassnectar announced that he is taking a break from touring after his grueling New Year’s Eve run that included Basslights, Decadence and Bassnectar 360 over a span of five days. Bassnectar is going to use the time off to work on creative ideas for a new album before kicking off the summer festival season. It appears that the only show he will play between now and then is at Ultimate Music Experience at South Padre Island, Texas in March.

Bassnectar’s last artist album, Vava Voom, was released in April of 2012 and peaked at 34 on the U.S. Billboard 200 list. Check out Bassnectar’s post about his break below, and be sure to follow him on social media for more information about tour dates and his new album.
