Weekly Twitter Roundup 002

This week on Twitter...

...the talk was all about new music and festival lineups. Savoy released their new album, while Bassnectar announced he’d be hiding out to work, and Major Lazer hinted at a new EP. Fans were also greeted with festival lineups for EDC Mexico, The Governor’s Ball, and Counterpoint. And then to round out this week’s roundup, we have a Photoshopped album cover, courtesy of Rukes.

1. Savoy released their new album

Things got a little hectic for Savoy on Tuesday when they went to release their new album, Self Predator. SoundCloud was having technical difficulties, forcing the group to push back the release by a couple hours.

2. Bassnectar announces he’s taking time off

On Thursday, Bassnectar announced via Twitter that he’ll be taking the winter and spring of 2014 off to get “super creative.” Whatever he’s working on, it’s sure to catch our attention come this summer.

3. Lineup upon lineup was released

The announcement of the Coachella lineup seems to have spurred many festivals to release and/or begin teasing their lineups as well. This week we saw the announcement of The Governor’s Ball and Counterpoint Music Festival lineups, as well as EDC Mexico.

4. Major Lazer (sort of) announced a new EP

It was a simple tweet that asked if fans were ready for a new EP. The topic wasn't mentioned again afterwards, but it’d be a decent guess to assume we’ll be seeing new music soon.

5. Rukes did a Zedd–Britney Spears mashup in Photoshop

The top EDM photographer in the business made fans laugh when he tweeted out a photo of Britney’s “Oops I Did It Again” single cover with Zedd’s face on her body.
