Over 140 People Arrested at Australia's Field Day
Over 20,000 music fans attended the Australian four-stage Field Day on New Year's Day. Some came for the house music while others came for the hip-hop. Unfortunately, not all of them stayed. According to the New South Wales Police, more than 140 of the 20,000 attendees were arrested on drug-related charges that day. Of those arrested, an 18-year-old man and 20-year-old man face substantial charges after being found with a number of ecstasy pills and a large amount of cash. In addition to these 140-odd arrests, 22 people were sent away from the festival due to intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Nonetheless, those who managed to stay within the festival limits enjoyed quite a day of music, as the likes of What So Not, Skrillex, Julio Bashmore, Flux Pavilion, Wiz Khalifa, and so many more brought in the new year with energy!
