The ability for artists to collaborate on music is unlike any other form of art found today. Experimentation with new creative ideas naturally create a unique and hybrid sound that can both cement their signature styles or open doors to entirely new facets of sound. Hundreds of djs and producers have developed their sound through collaboration, and it has undoubtedly played a huge part in the development of their individual careers and united direction. We have gathered together a list of DJ duos who are leading the pack in dance music, from electro-house and trap to big room, hip-hop, and deep house. Each artist is providing a definitive sound for themselves and their genres, and we've listed our 15 favorite dj duos in alphabetical order.

Adventure Club

Canadian duo Adventure Club have become one of those most notorious DJ duos with their signature sound of melodic dubstep drops and euphoric vocals. Their single “Gold” featuring Yuna and their remix to “Crave You” by Flight Facilities have become anthems for their massively dedicated fan base. They’ve traveled the world and have played huge music festivals including EDC Las Vegas and Ultra Music Festival. The duo has also partnered with EDM lifestyle brand Electric Family to produce a collaboration bracelet with 100% of the proceeds donated to Fuck Cancer.

Amine Edge & DANCE

The French duo known as Amine Edge & DANCE, are the pioneers of the G-house genre. They combine gangsta rap with the energy of house music to create an edgy but deep sound. While producing a plethora of new music, the duo also runs their own music label, CUFF Records. In just a couple years the duo has gone from up-and-comers to selling out venues around the world and performing regularly in dance music hotspots like Ibiza and the UK. Art Department

Art Department is a duo from Toronto, Canada consisting of Jonny White and Kenny Glasgow. They produce an unmatched blend deep house, tech house, and techno, and have been listed as the second greatest DJ duo in the world by Vibe Magazine second to Daft Punk. The duo has played at almost every music festival in the world including Ultra Music Festival, EDC, Electric Forest, BPM, Coachella, Lollapalooza, and DEMF. Jonny White is also the label head of No. 19 Music, which has seen releases by Louie Fresco and Dennis Ferrer.

Axwell /\ Ingrosso

After the breakup of Swedish House Mafia, two of its members Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso joined forces to become a new production and DJ duo. Under their new moniker Axwell /\ Ingrosso, the duo has recently signed to Def Jam Records and have announced they will be releasing a debut album in early 2015. As Swedish House Mafia, they never released a studio LP, so you can count on them bringing their anthemic progressive and electro-house sound in full force for their debut album. Below is the first 15 minutes of their Ultra Japan live set, which contains selections of their unreleased music. 


Brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence make up the English electronic music duo Disclosure, who gained worldwide recognition last year for their insanely popular single “Latch” featuring Sam Smith, which peaked at number 11 in the UK Singles Chart. The duo is also known for their amazing live performances and interactive visuals. They blend together garage and deep house using live instruments including keyboards, drums, and bass guitar. Their debut album, Settle,was even nominated for a Grammy award for Best Dance Album.

Duck Sauce

Duck Sauce is made up of Armand Van Helden and Fool’s Gold Records founder A-Trak. After releasing their single “Barbara Streisand” they earned themselves number 1 spots on charts around the world as well as a Grammy nomination. They are known for their signature upbeat sounds of disco-house and electro, as well as for creating some of the most outrageous music videos in EDM to date. Their live sets are sparse, but those that have attended can attest to their party-driving style. Recently, they released their first full-length album, Quack, which features their latest hit single "NRG."


There’s something about Los Angeles-natives gLAdiator that just makes you want to turn up at every one of their shows. Their energetic live sets bring out the best of their massive trap anthems, but also highlight their tastes in deep house, big room, and hip-hop as well. Over the past year, the two dj/producers have performed at EDC Las Vegas, Mysteryland USA, and Moonrise Festival. The future is definitely bright for the duo as their latest single "Nagano" with LOUDPVCK is truly a genre-blending monster. 


With a mission statement like “death to genres” you can count on Miami DJ and production duo GTA to be full of flavor. Their bass-heavy sets blend together everything from electro and trap to hip-hop, rock, and r&b. Currently the guys are lighting up venues all over the country and will be performing at HARD Day Of The Dead and Mad Decent Boat Party. The duo just recently signed to Warner Bros Records and released their latest single "Hard House" too. When you’re headed to a GTA show, just know you are in for some raging good times.

Jack Beats

DJ Plus One and Beni G are the electronic music duo known at Jack Beats, who formed in London in 2007. They are award-winning DJs who produce everything from electro and jackin house to dubstep and deep house. In 2012 they signed to Skrillex’s OWSLA label and released three massive EPs, icluding their latest Beatbox EP. Currently they are touring with AC Slater on his Night Bass Tour, and have just recently released their latest remix to DJ Fresh's "Flashlight" featuring Ellie Goulding.

Jack U

Jack U is the collaboration project comprised of Mad Decent founder Diplo and OWSLA label head Skrillex. After making their world debut at Ultra Music Festival in Miami earlier this year, they immediately began working together as a powerhouse duo. They just recently released their first single “Take U” featuring vocals from Kiesza and are working to release an upcoming mixtape. Their live sets blend together all different genres of bass-heavy music and they are known to drop nearly every fan-favorite classic to date.

Knife Party

After splitting from the drum and bass band Pendulum, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen formed as dance music duo Knife Party. In just three years, the duo has released three EPs with one peaking at number 37 on Billboard Top 200. They have toured around the world and their live sets of electro-house, dubstep, and moombahton have reached fans at festivals including Ultra Music Festival, HARD Day Of The Dead, Spring Awakening, and EDC Las Vegas. Currently Knife Party has been teasing fans with new music to be released on their debut album, Abandon Ship, on October 27th.

Milo & Otis

Producers NYMZ and KillaGraham make up the Los Angeles duo known as Milo & Otis. The duo is known to push the boundaries of music with their style of electro-house, trap, hip-hop, and midtempo. Their fast paced mixing always carries a unique song selection, and they’ve performed at major festivals including HARD Summer, TomorrowWorld, Mysterland, as well as Skrillex’s Mothership Tour. Dutch DJ duo W&W have worked with everyone from Hardwell and Armin van Buuren to Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. They have created a massive big room sound, which they have explosively demonstrated iin both original and remixed productions. Their live sets go from uplifting and melodic to intense and energetic. W&W have performed main stage at Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, and TomorrowWorld just to name a few. Their latest collaboration with Headhunterz, “Shockerz” brings out a fresh new blend of big room and hardstyle that fans go crazy for.

Zeds Dead

Hailing from Toronto, Canada, DC and Hooks of Zeds Dead have got to be one of the most creative DJ duos. They produce a variety of diverse music that ranges from electro, drum and bass, hip-hop, house, and most notably dubstep. Their live sets capture sounds of it all and they are always pushing boundaries. Zeds Dead are also known for their extensive tours, which have been upwards of 70 dates in the past.
