Knife Party Pushes 'Abandon Ship' Release Date Back
For the last couple of months, news, previews, and “leaks” have been circulating around the dance music community regarding Knife Party’s highly anticipated debut full length album, Abandon Ship. The Australian duo consisting of Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, both former members of drum & bass band Pendulum, originally promised that their album would be out on October 27th, a week before their headlining slot at HARD Day of the Dead in Los Angeles. However, in a message sent to their fans via their Twitter, Swire and McGrillen regretfully informed us that the release date for their album had to be pushed back to November 10th from their original October date.
Though their 13-track album will not see an official release until November 10th, this delay does not solely rest on Swire and McGrillen’s shoulders. As they explain in their full apology, which you can find below, they have convinced their management to stream the full album online a week before the official release.
Until then, Knife Party fans can hold themselves over by watching the first official music video off of Abandon Ship for their track “Begin Again.”
