LA-native ZHU has gone from not making a single public tour appearance all year to playing the Listen Out Festival in Sydney, Australia and being scheduled to make his debut North American appearance on HARD Day of the Dead’s lineup.
Just weeks after his name was added to the star-studded Day of the Dead lineup, mysterious pictures started to appear all over Brooklyn, Williamsburg, and Manhattan with the dates November 21 and November 22nd on them, signaling perhaps that New York City would not have to wait long for its own opportunity to catch a rare personal appearance by ZHU.
Now, official information has been released that the illustrious producer is, in fact, playing two shows in New York City. Tickets to these two hush-hush, secret shows will be exclusively sold at the clothing store Opening Ceremony in New York City, along with a special edition 7” vinyl copy of Zhu’s debut EP The Nightday EP. According to the official release by Opening Ceremony, tickets will be available starting Thursday, October 16th at 5:30 PM, and they will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each customer will only be allowed to purchase two tickets, as the performance is supposed to be intimate. As of now, we still don’t know the exact times of the show, or the exact venue, but this is definitely a show you don’t want to miss, so get to Opening Ceremony as early as possible.
Alongside his exciting show announcement, ZHU dropped the official music video for his single “Paradise Awaits,” a trippy, vibrant video directed by Tomek Ducki. Be sure to check out this one-of-a-kind video for yourself, but don’t forget to get to Opening Ceremony early to snag a pair of tickets to one of the most anticipated shows of the year.
