According to TechCrunchUber will be announcing a partnership with Spotify this week. Uber will be adding a new feature to its app that will allow the car's passengers to be the DJ. This is perfect for people who have been stuck with Uber drivers who leave the radio off during the entire ride. As an EDM.com reader, you likely enjoy listening to music while in the car, and this new partnership will make your Uber rides much more enjoyable.

Over the past few days, Uber has been asking their drivers to update their information on the app. This includes selecting whether or not the driver's car has an AUX audio input. An AUX input would allow drivers to connect their Uber-provided phone to the car stereo, which would allow passengers to control the music during their ride.

TechCrunch also obtained a photo of what a passenger's Uber app will look like during their ride.

We're unsure if you'll be able to utilize your own Spotify playlists during Uber rides, but we will keep you updated. If you haven't signed up for Uber yet, use the code "EDMUber" to receive a free $20 credit on your first ride!
