DJ Hanzel, Becky, Treva, Greg, Rave Dad... there number of aliases that Dillon Francis assumes is limitless, and serves as a great representation of his bound-less production style as well. From his origins in the moombahton scene to the multi-farious sound of his latest album Money Sucks, Friends Rule, Dillon Francis has become a leader in the dance music scene, and his live performances stand as reference to the amazing culmination of EDM's growing sound.
Francis embarked on his Friends Rule tour just a few weeks ago, and the tour has already made quite the impression on the dance music community. The tour has sold out most of its dates so far, including stops at Echostage in Washington DC and Electric Factory in Philadelphia. We stopped by his set in Philadelphia and it's safe to say that the party started the moment that Hoodboi hit the decks. The jersey-club phenom dropped a perfect opening set, getting the crowd warmed up with funky tracks from artists like Trippy Turtle. TJR, most known as one of the leaders in Melbourne Bounce scene, brought the energy up with his always-epic blend of house tracks for any eager crowd. When the curtain dropped for Dillon's set around 11:30, and the massive stage production named "The Gary" was revealed, and it soon became clear that this tour was definitely one of the most ellaborate EDM tours of the year. He played a fantastic set, with everything from his older Moombahton classics to his latest anthems from Money Sucks, Friends Rule. The show did not disappoint, and we don't expect it to disappoint anyone along the 26-stop tour.
EDM.com has paired with Dillon Francis and AEG Live to giveaway 2 free tickets and an exclusive Meet & Greet at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, CO for his show on December 12th. Featuring opening sets by TJR and Hoodboi, the show is sure to be a multi-genre'd party from start to finish. Information and rules on entry can be found below!
