Kygo Releases First Original Song Since 2013, 'Firestone'
Kygo has had a massive 2014. At the start of the year, he was known to many as a faceless SoundCloud producer with some infectious remixes on his page. However, as the year went on, his remixes started garnerning more attention. His remix of Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire" gained a ridiculous amount of blog hype, making it one of the 10 most played SoundCloud songs of all time. As of today, the remix is sitting at 18.6 million plays. The Kygo hype train hit its peak when Sony Music/Ultra signed him to a record deal and he was chosen to replace Avicii on the mainstage at TomorrowWorld. This all happened without Kygo releasing a single original track in 2014.
After months of anticipation, Kygo has finally released his first original song, "Firestone," featuring Conrad on vocals. The tropical house masterpiece should make all of his fans very happy.
