Kaskade hosted a year-topping Redux show at Pier 36 in New York City on December 30, playing four hours of non-stop throwbacks and deep tunes. Near the end of the set, members of the audience spotted a familiar figure hopping on the decks with Kaskade. This figure was none other than Skrillex, who switched gears from melodic house to gangsta' rap and trap tracks.
While a few Kaskade junkies lambasted the musical switch-up, nearly everyone in the crowd jumped at the chance to witness the rare b2b set. Even though Kaskade and Skrillex collaborated on the track "Lick It", this b2b set marks the first time the two have ever performed together.
