Zedd clearly comes from a musically talented family

Earlier this week, we posted a song where Zedd played drums for his old band, Dioramic. Today, we bring you a collection of videos of Zedd playing the keyboard, harpsichord, and piano as a child. These videos come courtesy of his father, Igor Zaslavski. It turns out Igor's YouTube channel is a treasure trove. Check out Zedd (Anton Zaslavski), Arkadi Zaslavski (Zedd's older brother), and his father jamming in the video below.

The next video features Zedd on the harpsichord and Arkadi on the guitar.

The last video is a nine-year-old Zedd playing Chick Corea's “La Fiesta” on the piano.

After watching all of these videos, it's clear that Zedd grew up in an environment that fostered his love for music. In an interview with USA Today, he said, "My parents are both classically trained and then I had a piano teacher until I was 10 or 11. We listened to all the German guys like Beethoven. We listened to jazz, George Benson was on a lot."

All of his training as a child shines through in his productions today. He creates catchy music, and he has shown the ability to perform numerous instruments. He can be used as one of the prime examples when dance music haters say that our favorite producers don't know how to play "real music."
