Diplo, The Clash & Frank Ocean Release "HERO"
Diplo is no stranger to thinking outside the box, and that's exactly what he's done on "HERO." As a part of the Three Artists, One Song campaign from Converse, Diplo worked with Frank Ocean and Mick Jones and Paul Simonon from The Clash. For the people who are solely fans of dance music, Ocean is one of the top vocalists in music right now, and The Clash are one of the most influential bands of all time. Unsurprisingly, "Hero" is something you wouldn't hear during a typical Diplo set. Although it isn't electronic dance music, it is still a very good song.
In a statement released by Diplo, he had the following to say about the collaboration: "The Clash were always teachers to me, even before I shared a studio with Paul and Mick. Their musical anarchy and constant attitude to disregard rules and forge their own path was inspirational to me. They meant death to genres, music and message above everything. Frank lives by the same creed in being married to his vision and seeing it through at any cost. We had to challenge each other to make something that we hope no one could expect and Converse valued everyone's artistic freedom to let us shine throughout the past few months to make this thing happen."
