This week, Skrillex has announced a massive tour and surprised the music world with a new album, and it's only Wednesday. How could his week get any bigger? Well, he was just announced as the cover star of the next Rolling Stone.

In Rolling Stone's online preview of the cover story, it is revealed that the inspiration for Alien Ride came from how Nine Inch Nails released Year Zero. Trent Reznor and his band released the album by leaving clues online and putting thumb-drives in public spaces.
Skrillex worked with a lot of collaborators from different genres on his upcoming album, Recess. However, he always aims to put emotion into each and every track he creates. He says, "I call my songs vibescapes. There's always a foundation under the tracks that you can feel and pick up on. An emotion. There's a lot of organic samples: wind, breaths, clocks cut into tiny pieces."
The full version of Skrillex's Rolling Stone cover story will hit news stands on Friday, March 14. If you want some insight into the talented producer's creative process, I highly recommend you check out the next issue of Rolling Stone.
