Miami Music Week's Top Parties (Listed By Day)

We are officially one week away from Miami Music Week, and if you’re headed down to experience the madness, you might have trouble deciding which events to attend. When you’re in Miami, you have the choice of literally hundreds of amazing venues and acts over the course of MMW, ranging from the extravagant and expensive clubs to pool parties in South Beach, to smaller local bars and clubs. In order to help you decide, EDM.com has created our rundown of the Top 3 Events for each day of Miami Music Week.

Monday, March 24

- Bromance Records & Friends – Grand Central (tickets)
- Markus Schulz - Dream (tickets)
- Martin Garrix + Friends (with Bassjackers) – LIV (tickets)

Although MMW doesn’t technically start until Tuesday, there’s always great music to see. On Monday, Bromance Records and Friends featuring Brodinski, Gesaffelstein vs The Hacker, Busy P, Club Cheval and more will be taking place at Grand Central. The legendary Markus Schulz will also be playing at Dream Nightclub in South Beach, and of course, how could you forget the teen prodigy Martin Garrix and Bassjackers taking over LIV?

Tuesday, March 25

- Above & Beyond - Mansion (tickets)
- Flux Pavilion - Grand Central (tickets)
- Benny Benassi + Friends - LIV (tickets)

Now, this is quite a way to officially kick off Miami Music Week. Mansion has put together one of the best and diverse MMW lineups out there, and they are kicking off their week with Group Therapy from Above & Beyond. Above & Beyond have created one of the most supportive and friendly fan bases in all of dance music because of their melodic music and inspiring messages. They will be supported by Norin & Rad and Beckwith and it is sure to be magical and a can’t-miss event for any Anjunabeats fans. On the opposite end of the dance spectrum is the Grand Central Launch Party with Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, Cookie Monsta, Mizuki, and Mutrix. If you like bass music and dubstep, this is the place to be on Tuesday. If you’re more of a house fan, then you’ll get your satisfaction seeing the legendary Benny Benassi at LIV.

Wednesday, March 26

- Good Times Festival - Wynwood (2 day festival)  (tickets)
- HARD Miami – Grand Central (2 day festival)  (sold out)
- Super You & Me – STORY  (tickets)

If you’re looking for something fun to do during the day on Wednesday (or Thursday) of MMW, check out the star-studded lineup at Good Times. Good Times is a two-day event with some of the craziest back-to-back sets you’ll ever see (we’re partial to A-Trak b2b with Craze and Skrillex with What So Not and Chance The Rapper). There are single day tickets available for Good Times. However, set times haven’t been announced yet, so it’s a mystery as to who is playing which day.

HARD Miami is another two day event taking place at Grand Central. Wednesday’s lineup features Boys Noize, Zeds Dead, RL Grime, What So Not, and more. Wednesday’s show is sold out, although there are tickets for sale online. The lineup for Thursday features a surprise headliner, along with Brodinski, Destructo and more. If neither of those lineups appeal to you, Laidback Luke’s Super You & Me features a stacked lineup at STORY, including DJ Snake, Blasterjaxx, the #selfie kings themselves (The Chainsmokers), and a special guest who is denoted with a Chipotle pepper… we’ll leave that up to your imagination.

Thursday, March 27

- Mau5trap vs Pryda – Pop-up Arena at Ice Palace Studios (tickets)
- SMOG vs Firepower – Mekka Miami Nightclub (tickets)
- Dirtybird BBQ – Cafeina Wynwood Lounge (tickets)

This is where it gets difficult, how to pick just three events when this day is jam-packed with nearly every type of party you could imagine. We think that the most special event has to be Mau5trap vs Pryda at the Pop Up Arena at Ice Palace studios. The label bosses, deadmau5 and Eric Prydz, have spent ample time hyping this event up, and the talent on their respective labels is unheralded, although it is unclear exactly, who else will perform.

SMOG vs Firepower features 5 rooms of bass – yes, 5 – at Mekka Nightclub. One room with dubstep legends like Datsik and 12th Planet, another drum and bass room, a trap room, as well as a glitch and a moombahton room. If you’re a basshead, this event is completely stacked.

Lasting all day and all night on Thursday is the Dirtybird BBQ with Claude Vonstroke and Justin Martin, among others. Dirtybird BBQ has a reputation for being one of the most fun events every year in Miami, so even if you aren’t as familiar with these names, it’s an inexpensive option with a pool party and BBQ – what’s not to like?

(Disclaimer: Two of our top events from Wednesday, Hard Miami and Good Times, will also be taking place on Thursday.)

Friday, March 28

- No Sugar Added – Nikki Beach (tickets)
- Skrillex and Friends - Mansion (tickets - Almost sold out)
- Fool’s Gold Miami – Grand Central (RSVP)

Most of the dance music fans in Miami will be headed to Ultra on Friday, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of other options to go around. No Sugar Added is a two day festival at Nikki Beach with an impressive lineup and three stages. Honestly, the lineup for NSA is better than the lineup that’s produced at many festivals around the country, and it so happens to be a solid alternative for anyone not attending Ultra. The plus side is that each night, two of the stages will be open until 5am, which means even Ultra fans can attend as an after party!

Skrillex at Mansion. What else do we even need to say about that? Well, the man will be joined by GTA, What So Not, Amtrac, and Sluggers for what we assume will be one of the most epic sets of the week. Tickets for this event are moving fast and are at a high risk of sell out, so act fast!

If you’re looking for something fun to do that doesn’t cost anything, RSVP for the free Fool’s Gold after party at Grand Central. The lineup features A-Trak, Tchami, Destructo, Gladiator b2b Loudpvck, and promises more special guests. The events at Grand Central are also 18+, which is rare for an MMW event.

Saturday, March 29

- Kaskade – LIV (tickets)
- Deep Dish – Ice Palace Studios (tickets)
- Mad Decent Showcase – Red Bull Guest House, Gale South Beach

We don’t really need to explain why Kaskade at LIV is going to be special, although it will rival his Redux show that’s taking place on Thursday if you’re a deep house fan.

Speaking of deep, Deep Dish is coming back together at the Ice Palace Studios. If you haven’t heard of Deep Dish, maybe you’ve heard of Sharam or Dubfire, the two members of Deep Dish. They got back together last month a long hiatus, and the hype for this show is building fast. They will be playing with Carl Craig, Hot Since 82, and Andhim.

If you’re looking for something fun to do during the day all weekend, check out the Red Bull Guest House rooftop parties. This year, each day will feature a different label: Hot Creations, OWSLA and Mad Decent. Although the lineup is TBA, we can only imagine what Diplo and friends have planned for this.

Sunday, March 30

- Anjunabeats Pool Party –The Raleigh Hotel (tickets - GA sold out)
- Full On – Ferry Corsten – Mansion (tickets)
- Adventure Club & Friends – Club Space (tickets)

The week isn’t over yet! Save some energy for the Anjunabeats Pool Party, one of the most intriguing events of MMW. The event takes place during Ultra, but it really makes me wish cloning was possible. Mat Zo, Audien, Seven Lions, Arty, and many others will be playing this pool party in South Beach at the Raleigh Hotel.  If you aren't headed to Ultra, this is the place to be.  If you are, but you don't care about the first few acts, this pool party will be an extremely intimate experience with some of the best talent in Miami.

If you’re headed to Ultra and are looking for an after party, Ferry Corsten at Mansion or Adventure Club & Friends at Club Space are going to be out of this world crazy. Either of these events would be a great way to end the best week of your life.
