Kill The Noise Gets Introspective In UKF Interview

It's interesting to hear him talk about the internal race that a producer can subject themselves to. Hell, essentially everyone creates a race in their head at some point, and it can be difficult to take a step back and properly assess where you are in life. Like he says in the interview, it isn't possible for your life to always trend upwards. You will face ups and downs. You must be able to break through adversity, and this can be done by thinking creatively.

Kill The Noise ends the video with: "Being weird isn't a bad thing. It's just that you're going to blaze your own trail. I think that's what makes me feel alright at the end of the day. I look around at the way everybody else is doing their thing, and I'm like...man, there is no real right way to do anything. That makes me feel like I'm doing the right thing." This harkens back to the importance of creativity. Don't fall in line with what everyone else is doing. Instead, be innovative and think of new ways to change your industry.

It is always interesting to delve into the mind of a producer. On November 10, 2013, Kill The Noise met up with UKF Music prior to his Fool's Gold Day Off set in Los Angeles and provided his thoughts on various subjects. The interview took place almost four months ago, but it wasn't released to the public until last week.

He hits us some great quotes throughout the interview. To start off the video, he says, "To me, electronic music, just by the definition of it, it's about fuckin' with technology, ya know? And the edge of it...Man, that's fascinating to me that someone can do that—by themselves! They can be in total control and tell a story, their story. I think that's like a...really honest way to be creative."

Throughout the interview, he lets us know about the ups and downs of a producer, his move to Los Angeles, and what his upcoming album will sound like. Watch the entire video below.
