5 Dirtiest Dubstep Drops Of The Week: Vol. 4

This week's lineup of dirty drops is mighty impressive.

It’s no secret that Ultra has been the main focus of the EDM industry for much of the past week. However, that doesn’t mean that there weren’t plenty of brand new dirty dubstep drops to go around. Plus, if you happened to watch any of the UMF live stream, I’m sure you’re also a little burned out on house and trance music. But have no fear, because Vol. 4 of our series will add tons of grime back to your daily grind!

5. MineSweepa - Destroy (Ft. Twine)

Call it destiny, call it fate, call it whatever you freaking please. The fact is, with a name like “Destroy,” there was a 0% chance that this absurdly aggressive song wouldn’t make this week’s cut. Off of MineSweepa’s recently released Epidemic EP on Firepower Records, this new collaboration with Twine packs a pair of drops that are dirtier than a baby’s diaper! The synths mercilessly spank your eardrums harder than a disappointed grandpa, and the barbaric bass growls unleash a war cry unlike anything you’ve ever heard in your life.

4. Datsik & Terravita - Losing Control

With Terravita’s long-awaited Rituals LP due out tomorrow (also on Firepower Records), I wouldn’t really be doing my homework if I were to exclude this bass music trio from our countdown. Better yet, Firepower’s boss decided to lend his talents to the group for this particular piece, and together, they manufacture a track that you won’t soon forget. “Losing Control” is littered with telltale signs of Datsik. If the first drop doesn’t get your entire body shaking, the second drop sends you into an irrepressible frenzy of energetic dancing. Wave your arms, stomp your feet, and prepare to lose control.

3. MUST DIE! - Rest Nest (Spag Heddy Remix)

After appearing on our list last week, MUST DIE!’s name shows up yet again, but this time in the form of a remix. Do you know how infrequently one of my favorite producers remixes another of my favorite producers? Basically never, but that’s precisely what happened when Spag Heddy rolled out his free remix of “Rest Next.” No, you didn’t read that wrong, I said free. So please grab your own copy immediately, because this dubstep dual-dropper is well worth every minute of your time. Tough-minded melodies and screeching synths make up the sturdy infrastructure of this absolutely monstrous track! Who wants some piping hot Spag Heddy? Come and get it!

2. Kevin Drew - Lost

You’re about to get your bell rung when this KDrew behemoth clocks you with a wicked right hook! If you have a helmet or any other protective gear lying nearby, now is the time to suit up. You’re going to need it! Utilizing his full name these days, Kevin Drew’s latest addition to his already impressive arsenal is this EDM.com exclusive. I won’t lie, the first time I heard this banger, I almost tore my laptop right down the middle! That’s not an exaggeration. For those of you that have never been drenched in a flash flood of dubstep filth, then each of these teeth-gritting drops will change your world forever. It’s fair to say that “Lost” is easily one of our best finds of the week.

1. Getter - Knives VIP

It only makes sense that a VIP would gain access to our number one spot. Am I right? Allow me to escort you this way Mr. Getter, this is our most exclusive seat in the house. Ok, I’m done. In all seriousness though, the most detailed and descriptive explanations in the universe wouldn’t do these murderous drops a single ounce of justice. Yes, they are that insanely dirty! So if you want my honest advice, board up all of your doors and windows, use every piece of available furniture to barricade yourself inside, and then brace for the excessive amount of pain and destruction that is sure to ensue. Getter’s VIP of “Knives” is dead set on dicing you into millions of tiny bits and pieces!
