EDM.com's 7 Favorite Spring Break Music Festivals

Are you still trying to plan your spring break? Or do you already have something planned and just want to see where your trip ranks on our list? Check out our list of the top seven Spring Break EDM Festivals.

7. Ultimate Music Experience – South Padre Island, Texas | March 13-15

The only festival that Bassnectar will be playing this spring is UME in South Padre Island, Texas on the Gulf of Mexico. Pair that with producers like Tiesto, Zedd, Boys Noize, Zeds Dead, and Carnage, and you have yourself one killer Spring Break.

6. Spring Weekend – April 11-12 | Panama City Beach, Florida

Have you ever wanted to go to a festival on the beach? Yes, ON the beach. Maybe one that features acts like Krewella, ArtyKill The Noise, ETC! ETC! and Pegboard Nerds? Spring Weekend features these acts—plus more headliners to be announced—in Panama City Beach, one of the biggest college spring break attractions in the United States. The festival features a day stage with local talent from around Florida, as well as a night stage with the headliners.  If you're looking for a festival with a real experience, Spring Weekend might be the most unique of all the spring break EDM festivals.  The music gets louder as the night goes, and what sounds better than partying on the beach with your friends, toes in the sand, all night long?

5. Electro Beach – March 1 – 30 | Puetro Vallarta, Mexico

A month-long festival in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. How is that possible, you might ask? Well, Prime Social Group and Xtreme Trips have partnered up to bring you 30 nights of incredible talent in some of the hottest clubs of Mexico. The festival began on March 1st and continues all the way until March 30th and features acts like Adventure Club, Borgore, Carnage, DJ Snake, and Wolfgang Gartner. Check out the video of last year’s adventure below.

4. Buku – March 21-22 | New Orleans, Louisiana

New Orleans is one of the craziest party towns in America, so why not go there for spring break and an awesome music festival? This year’s EDM headliners include David Guetta, Zedd, Chromeo, Zeds Dead, The Glitch Mob, DJ Snake, and Skream. The nice part about being in New Orleans means the party never stops. This year there are four different late-night parties planned over the two days--one of which includes a Mad Decent lineup.

3. SnowBall Music Festival – April 4-6 | Denver, Colorado

SnowBall is now in its fourth year and third venue in Colorado, and the lineup might be their best to date. This year, SnowBall features headliners like Pretty Lights (plus a second day of a Pretty Lights Music Party), Knife Party, and GRiZ, along with a long list of other great producers. The festival will take place at The Park at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium.

2. Coachella Music and Arts Festival April 11-13 and April 18-20 | Indio, California

Coachella is widely celebrated as one of the most diverse and exciting festivals in the United States, and with electronic headliners like Skrillex, Zedd, Chromeo, Calvin Harris, and Disclosure, it's clear why so many EDM fans attend. Coachella expanded to two weekends last year and still sold out in a matter of hours, which is very impressive. As a result, they decided to keep the two-weekend format in 2014. Unsurprisingly, both weekends sold out quickly this year. If you didn’t get your tickets to attend Coachella this year, put it on the to-do list for next year!

1. Ultra Music Festival/Miami Music Week – March 24-30 | Miami, Florida

There’s little question in anyone’s mind what the most exciting EDM event is for spring breakers every year. Miami Music Week and Ultra feature nearly every big name in dance music each year, and it lasts for seven days in Miami, Florida. Miami Music Week means pool parties at some of the nicest hotels and all-night events at some of the top-rated clubs in America. If you’re looking to learn about the music industry while in Miami, consider attending the Winter Music Conference, which will also give you access to some Miami Music Week events. There are still limited tickets available for Ultra, and if you have to pick between just one of these spring break trips, Ultra certainly will not disappoint.
