Mysteryland released the lineup for their first ever United States festival today, and it stands out from the rest of the American EDM festivals for several reasons. First off, there's the fact that it will take place over Memorial Day Weekend on May 24 and 25 on hallowed ground. The festival will be held at Bethel Woods, which is the same location as the original Woodstock. While it does feature the typical festival headliners such as Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Nicky Romero, and Showtek, there are numerous concepts that make Mysteryland stand out.
Q-dance will have its first Northeast U.S. showcase during Mysteryland. Hardstyle has been steadily gaining popularity stateside over the past couple years, and its presence at Mysteryland should help the genre continue to grow in the United States.
Mysteryland is going to have a Vinyl-Only stage that will bring dance music back to the basics. Josh Wink is scheduled to spin a vinyl set in celebration of OVUM's 20th anniversary, and it is sure to be an awesome party.
Another thing that popped out at me on the lineup is the inclusion of Dillstradamus. It will be the official debut of the Dillon Francis and Flosstradamus supergroup. I'm very interested to see what the workflow will be like between the three different DJs on stage.
