Hans Zimmer Composes Hymn For Tomorrowland's 10th Anniversary
Tomorrowland has joined forces with renowned film composer and music producer, Hans Zimmer, to create a classical hymn for the 10th anniversary of Tomorrowland. The Tomorrowland YouTube page has posted a 4-minute preview of the hymn (below), and the full 10-minute score will premiere at the festival in Belgium this summer.
Zimmer has produced award-winning film scores for flicks such as The Lion King, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight, and Inception. He has won four Grammys, two Golden Globes and an Academy Award for his work.
"Tomorrowland is a known quantity to me", says Zimmer, "and after ten years I think they deserve something special for their anniversary. It should be culturally diverse and should somehow represent the whole world. The hymn is about bringing different cultures together. All the things that make us different are actually the things we should be celebrating."
The 10th anniversary of Tomorrowland is being celebrated with a double edition. The first weekend of Tomorrowland will take place July 18-20, and weekend two will occur July 25-27. Tickets for Tomorrowland went on sale in February and sold out in minutes. Tickets for the American edition, TomorrowWorld, which takes place in September outside Atlanta, Georgia, are on sale now.
