Grammy-nominated producer Kaskade has found a way to combine dance music and running in a new series of 5K night runs called The Spark Run. As Kaskade says, The Spark Run is designed to be a “fun run” and runners are encouraged to wear costumes with glow sticks and LEDs. The family friendly event will take you through interactive environments full of lights and sound with a mixed dance music soundtrack. At the end of each race you’ll be treated with an after-party and amazing live performances with Kaskade headlining at select cities.
“Music evokes a lot of different emotions and triggers different senses,” Kaskade tells Billboard. “That’s what got me interested in the Spark Run. I’m stoked to take various elements from my live shows, create new ones, and marry them into something as unique as this.”
The Spark Run is set to kick off in Denver on May 9th and will be hitting Los Angeles, Washington DC, Chicago, Charlotte, and Miami. Each run will be partnering up with a local charity to provide donations and bring awareness to each of their great causes.
