Red Rocks To Become 'Dead Rocks' This July For Zeds Dead
An all-star cast is set to commandeer the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 3rd, for a night full of high-energy beats with a twist of hip hop. This one night mini-fest is jam packed with star power from open to close, providing a diverse sampling across the broad spectrum of dance music sure to bring fans of all types together under the Colorado night sky.
Headlining the event is superstar duo Zeds Dead, who have brought along frequent collaborator Omar LinX to assist with his trademark storytelling wordplay over Zeds Dead’s filthy bass. LinX, who EDM.com interviewed about mixing hip hop and electronic soul, also serves as an excellent hypeman, getting the crowd riled up into a delirium for each track. Zeds Dead is no stranger to the Colorado crowd and is guaranteed to destroy Red Rocks as they've done in the past for Global Dance Fest. This will serve as their first headlining show at Red Rocks, and the anticipation is already building for what they’ll pull out of their bag of tricks.
Also joining the shindig is the fastest rising name in electronic music, DJ Snake. The furious Frenchman has begun his takeover of the United States in full force, headlining shows across the country with his outrageous, buck-wild style. There’s nothing quite like catching an artist live during their ascent to international stardom, and the serpentine selector has been met with rave reviews at each stop.
Dead Rocks is also tossing one of the biggest up-and-coming rappers out there – Joey Bada$$. If you haven’t listened to his 1999 mixtape yet, I’m not quite sure what you’re doing with your life. Despite being a relative newcomer to the game, Bada$$ has already been compared to some of the greatest MCs to ever bless a mic, owed to his superior lyrical abilities and charisma in front of a live crowd.
Rounding things out are Manic Focus and Grandtheft, so you’ll want to get there from the beginning. The event starts at 7:30 PM, with doors at 6 - tickets can be found here.
