Prepare for CounterPoint 2014

CounterPoint Music & The Arts Festival is returning to the vast land of Kingston Downs in Atlanta, Georgia with the support of a massive, multi-genre filled lineup that has the ability to draw in all types of festival-goers.

The major headliners include Outkast, Foster The People, STS9, Wolfgang Gartner, Pretty Lights, Major Lazer, Krewella, Big Gigantic, J-Cole, and Above & Beyond. Performances at CounterPoint will include electronic music, hip hop, jam bands, and indie rock.

When planning your 2014 CounterPoint schedule, be sure to include some of this year's rising talents. Finding new talent is always essential for enhancing your festival experience.

Day 1:

Settle into your campsites, and get into the CounterPoint spirit with…

Papadosio: Features a revolutionary band of five talented members who combine electronic drum snares and progressive rock kicks to get any festival crowd up and moving. Papadosio has also performed successful sets at familiar festivals such as Camp Bisco, Electric Forest, and Wakarusa.

Pegboard Nerds: Kick off day one with the two talented producers known for their head banging, bass lines, and unforgettable remixes. Just picking one of our favorite records to feature by these two was hard enough. Trust me, you do not want to miss out on some of the tunes these two are sure to drop.

Mat Zo: While Mat Zo was initially not scheduled to perform at this year’s CounterPoint, I’m sure a great deal of dance fans will appreciate his presence—especially after an awe-inspiring performance at this year’s Ultra Music Festival.

Day 2: Get your groove on, all Saturday long…

Shpongle: Shpongle is a psychedelic, downtempo music duo that contains one-half production and instrumental talent, which is done by Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen). The other half, Raja Ram, is known for coming up with musical concepts and being the flautist of the two. Experience Simon Posford's solo DJ set during Saturday's festivities.

The Polish Ambassador: Embrace your inner funk with The Polish Ambassador project. Awesome visuals, some electric ghetto-waves, and an inviting atmosphere make The Polish Ambassador an unforgettable act.

Day 3: End with a classic

Thievery Corporation: Enjoy some soulful electronic music during your Sunday rage session. Start with the duo's "Culture Of Fear" record to get you feeling their recognizable tempo.

Minnesota: Venturing all the way from Santa Cruz, Minnesota will be lighting up the CounterPoint stage on day 3. He's known for touring alongside Big Gigantic, Bassnectar, and Paper Diamond. Let us know if you're feeling his latest hip-hop creation alongside G Jones below.

Outkast: Yes, the headliners. Outkast is booked at the top of numerous festival lineups this year. Although we refrained from naming other headliners, we just couldn't leave the legendary hip hop duo off of the list. Let's prepare with a classic.

GA camping tickets and day passes are still available through CounterPoint's ticket site. If you live in the area, you shouldn't miss out on all the talent and beauty this festival has to offer. In addition to the performer during the day, the festival has booked unique talent for their nightly Silent Disco performances
