Fedde Le Grand Remixes Michael Jackson's 'Love Never Felt So Good'
Fedde Le Grand was recently offered the chance to remix "Love Never Felt So Good," the newest single by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. "Love Never Felt So Good" is the first single off Jackson's second posthumous album, Xscape, which was released on May 9, 2014. Fedde Le Grand's remix of the single was released on May 19, 2014.
Many producers would wilt under the intense pressure of remixing a music legend, but Fedde Le Grand thrived. His remix injects an infectious energy into the track, yet he exhibited a great deal of restraint by refusing to produce something crazy and over the top. Overall, the remix has all the makings of a summer anthem. It features danceable big room house elements and a piano breakdown that leads into catchy vocals from Jackson. It simply evokes joy from the listener. I can already envision people smiling from ear-to-ear when they hear this track dropped on a warm summer day.
In a YouTube video that documents the making of Fedde Le Grand's remix, he says, "The fact that I'm asked to remix some of his stuff is humbling, scary, and exciting at the same time, and I only have three days to work on it. I think he's one of the best artists ever." Check out the video below.
This was a huge opportunity for Fedde Le Grand, and he nailed it. This success story has us wondering if it will spark a trend of Michael Jackson remixes in the near future. We'll just have to wait and see.
