Deadmau5 has been in the news for a variety of reasons recently. In addition to releasing his new album, while(1<2), the talented producer took part in the popular Gumball 3000, which is an international car rally that takes place on public roads. Every year, rich people from around the world show off their money and disregard for traffic laws by driving their Ferraris, Aston Martins, Rolls-Royces, and Porsches at high speeds from start to finish.
This year, the rally started in Miami and finished in Ibiza. To enter the 2014 Gumball 300, drivers had to pay £40,000 (about $67,000) for each two-person team. Tory Belleci, of MythBusters fame, joined Deadmau5 to complete the two-person team. Belleci and Deadmau5 earned the "Spirit of the Gumball" award for doing the best job of embracing the spirit of the event.
