The Perks Of Attending Electric Zoo 2014
As we near the end of the festival season, the final plans are made to attend the last few EDM gatherings found within the month of August. Electric Zoo New York, one of the last festivals of the season, returns this Labor Day weekend with two main stages and some stellar tents that add to E-Zoo's already killer lineup. In total, Electric Zoo will contain six stages with phenomenal back-to-back performances all weekend long.
If you're still deciding on whether or not to attend E-Zoo this year, EDM.com is ready to help you make the right choice with a broken down list of the festival’s top attractions and must-see artists. Discover what makes Electric Zoo such a diverse and unique festival experience.
There Will Be Two Main Stages (West & East)
Main Stage West will become home to Carnage, Dada Life, A-trak, Armin Van Buuren, Zedd, Kaskade, and Mat Zo along with a handful of other headliners. On the East stage, fans will be just as pleased to catch headliners such as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Zeds Dead, Wolfgang Gartner, Knife Party, Dash Berlin, Oliver Heldens, Jack U and many more. With such a star-studded lineup, the amount of versatility at these stages is unparalleled.
Sunday School Grove Gets A Make Over
The Sunday School tent has become a traditional installment to Electric Zoo, as well as a variety of other festivals swarming across the U.S. The Sunday School tent is renowned for bringing a vast amount of underground talent right to the very heart of New York. What makes this year’s Sunday School tent different than other years is the amount of talent and diversity scheduled to perform.
This year’s lineup includes legendary acts Dubfire, Scuba, and Pete Tong, along with some up-and-coming acts leading the house and techno movements including Hot Since 82, Nicole Moudaber, and Kidnap Kid.
The Atmosphere Is Beautiful
Electric Zoo has an ambiance like no other - the festival grounds, which take place on Randall’s Island, contain not only the two main stages, but also open air tents for various underground and main headlining acts. As fans walk around the outskirts of the festival there’s plenty of room to cool off under a tree, or eat lunch on the venue’s spacious grassy areas.
Everywhere you go there’s a headliner
It’s no secret that this year’s E-Zoo lineup is absolutely breathtaking. Made Events managed to book a festival that has an incredibly broad variety of solo acts, electronic groups, headlining artists and underground performers. It’s safe to say that every DJ will be in the city that never sleeps this upcoming Labor Day weekend.
Not only do we have the main stage headliners mentioned above to look forward to, but also if you add up the acts scheduled to perform on Hilltop, Beatport, Sunday School, and Vinyl, it feels like you’re never missing a world-renowned DJ.
Some honorable mentions from The Hilltop tent are headliners such as Madeon, Datsik, Pegboard Nerds, ATB, and even Seven Lions. The Beatport stage reflects a whole other level of talent with scheduled performances such as Gesaffelstein, Paul van Dyke, Felix Cartal, and Chase & Status.
Check Raving In NYC Off Your Bucket List
It’s one thing to party in New York City, but to actually rave as the sun disappears under the city skyline is a whole other story. Randall’s Island is set in the heart of New York City, where the entire city will be celebrating the art of music. What does this mean? After parties, and more after parties.
NYC is home to some of the most influential clubs and venues crucial to the electronic movement. Wherever you go, once you leave Randall’s Island and enter the streets, you’re sure to find more music and even more dancing as the night continues.
