Brazilian duo Digitaria recently released a full-length studio album on Jamie Jones’ legendary imprint, Hot Creations. The 12-track Night Falls Again is a lovely blend of deep grooves, delightful vocals, and disco-fused uniqueness. Expressing the evocative imagination of the duo Daniela Caldellas and Daniel Albinati, the album sets an illusory mood and euro-style vibe.
In the past decade, the twosome has played all around the world. They’ve played at venues in Brazil, Russia, Ibiza, as well as prestigious festivals like Creamfields, Dream Valley, The Warehouse Project, and many more. Underlining the pair’s philosophy that electronic music should have no boundaries and that creativity and feelings are the only things that matter, Digitaria lays down a limitless foundation, which produces a global appeal. Expect the new collection of tracks to be spun in a dark club space or intimate venue, ideally during late night hours.
Exploring boundaries of electronic music, the album opens with a distinct sophistication presented in “End of Line.” An Egyptian-style funk is explored in “Human Nature,” guaranteed to spice the dance floor. The light-spirited tone in “Golden Leaves” expresses a sentimental aura, fused with bouncy keyboard riffs. “Love Feeling” digs into a deeper mood with seductive vocals, thrashing hi-hat rhythms, and a pulsating beat. Overall, Digitaria’s record reveals a groundbreaking sound in electronic music through lucid and dream-like resonance.
Two fresh re-works of Digitaria’s “Favourite Addiction” accompany the album. The Jey Kurmis remix is an enigmatic melody, bringing techy synths. On the other hand, Groove Armada’s Dub Creation takes on haunting vocals and deep groves. Climbing the Beatport charts, the splendid Groove Armada re-work breaks away mid-tune into dulcet house, culminating with snare kicks that build and release into a groovy dub hit.
