Swedish techno producer Ida Engberg has announced that her set on August 7th at Space Ibiza will be her final performance of 2014.

Engberg is taking a break from music due to being 31 weeks into her pregnancy with Drumcode Records label owner and techno producer Adam Beyer. Her last gig will be a B2B set with Beyer at Richie Hawtin’s weekly ENTER party. The ENTER events can be streamed live at http://enterexperience.com/.

Engberg’s announcement on Facebook was a heartfelt and touching message.

Beyer shared his excitement for the upcoming event as well.

Before making the announcement, Engberg strongly expressed her love for music: "Working with music is freedom . . . I always loved art and music where you are 100% free to be an individual...Music is a way to escape rules. I was very influenced by punk music as a child. Music that was not perfect. Music made by people that did not want to be perfect. Techno is in a way similar. It's not made to sell or to be played on big radio channels. It's made by people with dreams and freedom in their soul.”

Engberg’s individuality and passion for her work set have made her one of the most respected female DJs in the scene. Beginning her DJ career at the age of 14 in Stockholm, Engberg has been honored for her success with releases on Crosstown Rebels, Drumcode Records, and Truesoul. Her brand of minimal techno has led to performances at prestigious festival gigs including Awakenings Amsterdam, Tomorrowland Belgium and Detroit Electronic Music Festival.

As her musical journey comes to an end, the tightly bonded community of Drumcode Records’ artists and fans across the world wish Ida Engberg the best.
