Moonrise is back in full force!
Moonrise Festival is about to hit Baltimore with a satiating amount of bass this weekend. The two-day festival is a collaborative effort by Steez Promo and Glow DC, running its second course this year after permit issues in 2013 prevented the inaugural event from happening.
This year’s Moonrise features four stages, a vendor village, and audio and lighting production anticipated to be exceptional in size and quality. There will even be a Ferris wheel present in the center of the venue for added amusement.
The lineup boasts both incredible and diverse talent for both days, including A$AP Ferg, DJ Snake, Rusko, Dannic, Victor Niglio, gLadiator, Waka Flocka Flame, and more. Closing out each night are crowd favorites Kaskade and Bassnectar (respectively). For those who experienced the disastrously tempestuous ending to the Hudson Project where Bassnectar’s set was cancelled, Moonrise is shaping up to be a worthwhile consolation prize.
Moonrise will be held this Saturday and Sunday (August 9th and 10th) at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, MD. The venue itself is a fairly historic landmark, having been the host of a multitude of different events for the past 100 years.
Despite the fact that top-shelf talent will be performing from 11am-11pm on both days, Steez Promo and Glow DC have no intention of letting the party die. The collaborators have stated that they are working with clubs and venues around the city to solidify a host of pre-parties and after-parties for the weekend.
Even if you could do without the extra events surrounding Moonrise, this is not a festival to be missed! Tickets for Moonrise can be found here.
