In a slightly surprising announcement, hip-hop artist Wyclef Jean has revealed that Avicii will be featured on his upcoming single "Divine Sorrow." The collaboration comes in conjuction with the announcement of Wyclef's new album, Clefication. Wyclef's first album in five years, the Haitian musician is no stranger to collaborating with the Swedish producer. Earlier this year, Avicii told Rolling Stone his new album would feature collaborations from several unlikely artists, including Wyclef, Bon Jovi, and Serj Tankian. The pair also worked with Carlos Santana and Alexandre Pires on the World Cup closing anthem "Dar um Jeito (We Will Find a Way)."
Despite Avicii's recent cancellation of his fall tour and TomorrowWorld appearance in light of growing health concerns, the producer/DJ seems motivated to continue releasing new material and crossing over to new genres and audiences. While "Divine Sorrow" won't be released until later this year, lucky Ushuaia Ibiza attendees caught a preview of the collaboration a few weeks ago. Wyclef ceremoniously entered the venue on a ladder attached to a zipline and went on to debut "Divine Sorrow" with Ushuaia resident Avicii.
