Calvin Harris Breaks Spotify Record With #1 Hit, 'Blame'

2014 has been a monster year for Calvin Harris, as the Scottish DJ/producer keeps adding to his growing list of acknowledgements and accolades. Having been nominated for a bevy of awards in 2014 ranging from Billboard’s “Top Dance/Electronic Artist” to his album 18 Months nominated for the Grammy’s “Best Dance/Electronica Album,” Harris has already laid his claim as one of the most influential and well-respected artists in the game. Shortly after topping Forbes' highest-paid DJ list at a whopping $66 million, Harris took the crown as the most streamed solo British act in Spotify history a few days ago.

Now he is back with another record-smashing hit, “Blame.” The dance music star's latest single reached the No. 1 position on Spotify’s Global Chart only three days after its release, making it Spotify’s fastest-ever track to take that position.
