1st Live-Streamed Concert From An Airplane To Be Hosted By Virgin Atlantic

You could win a seat on the inaugural 787 flight with Rudimental and Gorgon City.

As the evolution of music events continues to progress, Virgin Atlantic is the most recent brand to utilize EDM talent. On Thursday, October 23rd, 2014, a brand-new Virgin Atlantic 787 named “Birthday Girl” will be home to the first live-streamed music event via Wi-Fi from a plane above the Atlantic Ocean. The event will feature a B2B live performance from UK electronic acts Rudimental and Gorgon City. A highly exclusive audience of 250+ VIPs selected by the artists themselves will receive tickets from Atlanta to London, first class entertainment electronic style over the Atlantic, and 5-star amenities courtesy of InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta.

If you’re interested in becoming a passenger on the first flight of Virgin Atlantic's Birthday Girl, you can enter to win a spot via Facebook, Twitter, or the #FlightDecks website here. The event is strictly 21+ and exclusively available to UK residents. The concept of hosting an EDM event on an airplane shows how big of an impact dance music has had. It also displays how advanced technology has become, as we are now able to stream an event via Wi-Fi from 30,000 feet in the air.
