Is ZHU Going To Be At HARD Day of the Dead?
LA-based ZHU exploded onto the scene in 2014 when a mysterious SoundCloud uploaded an absolutely amazing cover of several Outkast hits, which he called “Moves Like Ms. Jackson.” A couple weeks later, that same SoundCloud uploaded another track “Superfriends” with the same silky smooth vocals and mesmerizing deep house beat to it - all without an artist’s name attached. In March, we finally learned the name behind these talented tracks, ZHU, and he released an EP titled The Nightday.
While he has remained relatively anonymous and underground, ZHU has finally surfaced this weekend, playing his debut live performance at the Listen Out festival in Sydney, Australia. Check out this video of him dropping his hit "Faded" along with his live production for yourself.
Just an hour ago, HARD Presents...posted this picture on their Facebook page. While it could be a teaser for a lot of different things, there's a solid chance that we can expect to see the extremely talented USC graduate added to the lineup for HARD's upcoming festival, HARD Day of the Dead. For now, all we can do is wait and see what other surprises Gary Richards has in store for us.
