One of the most unexpected collaborations of the year is underway. Dillon Francis and Norwegian tropical house star Kygo have officially started working in the studio together.

Both producers are in the midst of a massive year. Dillon’s upcoming album, Money Sucks, Friends Rule, has been one of the most anticipated albums of 2014, and Kygo’s remix of Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire” has over 13 million plays, making it one of SoundCloud’s top 10 most played songs.

Recently, the Norwegian superstar signed to Sony Music/Ultra in a blockbuster deal, showcasing Sony’s prerogative to embrace the smooth, soulful side of electronic music. The President of Ultra Music and President of Electronic Dance Music at Sony, Patrick Moxey, said, “We’re delighted to work with Kygo, who is an extremely talented musician, with unique melodies.”

Dillon Francis and Kygo have distinct and seemingly opposite styles, so it may be hard to imagine what a collaboration between the two superstars would sound like. However, Dillon has posted a short preview of the track onto his Instagram.

We can't wait to hear the final product, and we'll be sure to let you know once it's released.
