A festival that has provided the foundation for the music scene in Croatia will reach its termination in 2015. The Garden Festival, a week long event, will stage its final performances over July 1-8, in its tenth anniversary year. The enchanting experience features 4 stages, 8 club nights at Barbarella Discotheque, a boat soirée, and a secret island party. Festival organizers are going to extraordinary lengths with an extensive line-up of the most sought-after artists to perform at a paradisal setting near the Adriatic Sea at The Garden Tisno. New acts announced include Jackmaster, Bonobo, Midland, Eats Everything and Nightmares on Wax.
Festival founder Nick Colgan discussed the event’s closing in an interview with Resident Advisor: “We feel that the tenth edition of The Garden Festival is not only a great milestone for us to bow out on, but it will also give us all at the Garden HQ the time needed for us to work at making our venue, the production and all the other events that are happening at The Garden Tisno that bit more special. We have big plans for all our venues - The Garden Tisno, Barbarella’s and The Garden Zadar - and we need to concentrate our efforts into making them turn into a reality. There will be of course another great event dropping into the space we leave behind, but at this point I cannot really say anymore until all is confirmed.” Bringing this decade old event to its conclusion promises to be satisfying and emotional.
