Given that end of November through late March is the hibernation period of the annual festival season, avid festivalgoers have been experiencing a time filled with anxiousness and preparation for future plans. With Coachella, Ultra, Governors Ball and a few others already releasing their lineups, it's evident that festival season is right around the corner. This pre-season span typically generates a fair amount of talk. According to a report from Viagogo, the most popular festival in 2015 of Tomorrowland in Belgium.

The ticketing site reported that compared to sales last year, ticket demand in 2015 has increased by 157%. Across 55 global websites, Tomorrowland proved to be the most popular, without the release of the official lineup.

International festivals are also experiencing an astounding rise in popularity. Viagogo outlined the top five countries for festival ticket searches with the U.S. in first place, followed by Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, and Australia.

The off-season serves as a time for festivals to amp up their future attendees and build anticipation towards the event. Viagogo explains that international festivals have become a popular choice: "Music fans typically stave off the January blues by snapping up tickets to see their favourite acts and this year it looks like many are planning to combine their summer holidays with a trip to a foreign festival."

According to ticket searches, Viagogo identified the ten most popular festivals of 2015 below:

Tomorrowland (Belgium edition)
