Disclosure Sued By Songwriter Claiming To Have Written "Latch" & Others

In the latest edition of dance music's brewing legal conflicts, a songwriter by the name of Katie Farrah Sopher is suing Disclosure over a number of songs she claims to have written. Sopher alleges she wrote the Sam Smith collaboration "Latch", AlunaGeorge collaboration "White Noise", and "You And Me" from the duo's debut album Settle. The songwriter is suing for £200,000, saying that the songs were written in a notebook that was stolen by her ex-boyfriend and later passed on to people in music industry. Sopher is also suing AlunaGeorge over the song "Attracting Flies." It remains to be seen if Sopher's accusations ring true, but her ex-boyfriend denies the claims.
