Rabbits Eat Lettuce Launch Party Shut Down Before It Started

Police forces shut down launch party before it even started.

Rabbits Eat Lettuce, the four-day long electronic music festival, has been going strong for six years. This year however, police forces interfered with the Australian festival due to location issues. The anual festival takes place around Byron Bay in early April, but the electronic event is also known for their 24-hour launch party hosted in mid January. The launch party was scheduled to host artists such as The Funk Hunters, Loud, Mr. Bill, and J Pod.

The camping festival takes place deep in the Australian forest every Easter weekend, yet it seems festival organizers faced difficulty with their location. Lack of council permission and confusion between festival sites near Bryon Bay and Ebor appear to be the ultimate cause of police intervention over the weekend. Festival organizers issued a statement that Ebor was not the planned location. Once word got out that the event would be held near Ebor, police forces blocked the road leading to the event.

The Rabbits Eat Lettuce festival will feature three dance stages with artists like Zomboy, Wild Culture, G Jones, Aeroplane, Tetrameth, and more from April 3rd-6th.
