Sónar, the world’s leading international festival of music, media, and art, has completed the lineups for its three satellite events, Sónar Copenhagen, Sónar Stockholm, and Sónar Reykjavik. The flagship festival takes place in Barcelona for three days every June, but its founding values on bringing creativity together with technology and uniting established musical talent with emerging artists extends to all of it's locations.
The Reykjavik rendition of Sónar is set to take place in Iceland on February 12-14, and aims to prove how a strong brand can redefine itself in a smaller location to create an intimate setting. Joining a plethora of local talent like Samaris, Valgeir Sigurðsson, and Bjarki, talented acts like Jimmy Edgar, Elliphant, and Ryan Hemsworth are also scheduled to take the stage. The massive 2015 lineup will feature the king of dubstep, Skrillex, in a headlining slot, alongside superstar artists like Nina Kraviz, Todd Terje, and Paul Kalkbrenner.
The massive pan-European festival has also added more names to its much smaller, more intimate Stockholm satellite festival. Taking place on February 13-14, Sónar Stockholm will feature the likes of SBTRKT, Nina Kraviz, Paul Kalkbrenner, and Jamie xx.
The last edition of the continent-spanning festival, Sónar Copenhagen, is also welcoming new guests to its festival. Jon Hopkins, along with his entire live band, will be playing a headlining set at the Danish capital on March 13-14, with support from exciting local acts like Kwamie Liv, and Puce Mary.
