"Record Number" Arrested for Drugs at Field Day in Sydney
A total of 214 festival attendees were reportedly arrested for drug-related offenses at Sydney's Field Day. The festival, which featured DJ sets by Dillon Francis, SBTRKRT and Alt-J, broke the record for drug-related offense by a dog sniffer operation.
Sydney's Chief Inspector, Stuart Bell, told ABC News, "The drug dog operation this year resulted in the most arrests police have made during the history of the festival, which is extremely concerning and shows that some attendees are still not getting the message."
Field Day, which should not be confused with the annual London festival, of the same namesake, boasted attendance figures of roughly 25,000.
