Alesso Reveals Details of His Debut LP

After having been taken under Sebastian Ingrosso’s wing and blowing up in 2011, it’s high time Alesso released an album.

In a interview with Billboard, Swedish progressive house prodigy Alesso has announced that his debut album will come out in “March or April” of 2015. The recent commercial success of his 2014 track “Heroes (We Could Be)” makes the Sebastian Ingrosso protégé’s career posture ideal for such a major release.

The release will take the form of an LP as opposed to a full-length album, and while he’s known for his melodic progressive house anthems, like his 2012 collaboartion with Ingrosso “Calling (Lose My Mind),” he maintains that he doesn’t intend for the songs on his new LP to adhere to any specific music trends.

There's one record that's probably gonna be my next single. I made that song a year and a half ago, the instrumental, not the vocal part, and I think it still sounds fresh,” says Alesso. “So I think it's because when I made that I was thinking about creating something that's hopefully timeless, that has a combination of electric guitars and acoustic ones. So I try not to create something that's popular at the moment. I just try to create something that I think will last.”

Alesso is currently finishing up the North American leg of a world tour and his next performance is at the DirecTV Super Fan Festical in Phoenix, AZ.
