The Hakkasan Group just announced that it has signed a three-year deal to continue residencies with the world-renowned DJ/producer Calvin Harris. The Las Vegas company, which owns Hakkasan Nightclub, WET REPUBLIC and a recent addition, Omnia Nightclub, will also include the superstar in its brand expansion into hotels and events.
Even as the Las Vegas casino gaming industry has grown stagnant in recent years, the explosive growth of live music in the city has landed several of its nightclubs on the top 10 of trade publication Nightclub & Bar’s list of 100 top grossing venues. While XS at Encore took the #1 spot for the past two years, many speculate that the Hakkasan’s 2014 revenue will eclipse it in in the new edition. Being that Harris routinely tops the Forbes list of highest-paid DJs in the world, his staggering appeal equates to continued growth for the Hakkasan Group; a bottle service table at his New Years Eve performance alone at Hakkasan Nightclub famously cost $500,000.
