Bringing an ambitious new underground concept to the US EDM market, Ultra Music Festival unveiled ‘Resistance,’ a new stage to be embraced at the festival in 2015. The roster includes top international techno and tech-house talent, including Maceo Plex, Joseph Capriati, Joris Voorn, Jamie Jones and more. The announcement follows the release of the first phase of artists, in addition to Carl Cox & Friends and Armin Van Burren’s “A State Of Trance.” Operating outside of the dominated mainstream market, UMF intends to cater to all audiences by emphasizing the importance of a genre-equilibrium in the festival’s bookings.

Ultra pitched the idea behind the new stage in the following announcement: “RESISTANCE: It's the urge to go against the grain, to step out of the box, to move away from the norm and challenge yourself to experience something new-- to break down boundaries and barriers and abandon your comfort zone-- to be able to open your eyes and ears to an undiscovered realm of electronic music.”
