The start of any new year is an exciting time in the dance community, as Pete Tong typically brings a very special guest to kick off the year on his BBC 1 Essential Mix. This year, Eric Prydz and his protégé Jeremy Olander graced the decks of the Essential Mix for a once-in-a-lifetime b2b set. Alongside this mix, Pete Tong also announced that BBC 1 will host a b2b Essential mix with two unique producers every month for the rest of the year.

Playing an Essential Mix is an honor unlike any other. Guests typically spin a two hour set laced with unreleased material, and great Essential Mixes are sets designed to take listeners on an audial journey. This year, Eric Prydz and Jeremy Olander have set the bar very high. Their one-of-a-kind Essential Mix is filled with plenty of Pryda Recordings tracks, as well as a fair share of content from Cirez D and Dhillon, Eric Prydz and Jeremy Olander’s techno aliases respectively.

Eric Prydz uploaded this Essential Mix to his SoundCloud - check it out below!
