Markus Schulz Launches Innovative ‘City Series’ Project With New Track

Markus Schulz is one of the most hard-working artists in the industry today. He not only achieved his own stage at Tomorrowland 2014 and a residency at Amnesia Ibiza, but he has also received critical acclaim for his Scream 2 album and Global DJ Broadcast Radio Show. To top it all off, Schulz is also ½ of superduo New World Punx alongside Ferry Corsten.

For the past eight years, Schulz has released a cornucopia of mix compilations, each dedicated to a city of significance to his career. This year, Schulz will be utilizing 2015 as a time to introduce the “City Series,” which promises a new release each month that is influenced by a city that Schulz is set to perform at. These releases will include live show elements as well as sounds of the venue, and will ultimately wrap up into his upcoming compilation Markus Schulz – World Tour 2015.

The first release of Schulz’ latest project “Bayfront (Miami)” is a hard-hitting trance track, primarily devoted to the infamous Club Space in downtown Miami. This uplifting track captures the classic upbeat Miami vibe infused with Schulz’ distinct trance style. “Bayfront” is due to be released January 19th, although a preview of the new Schulz track is available below.

“When examining the cities which have impacted my body of work throughout the years, you have to consider your day-to-day surroundings and the reason why you call a particular place home. Had it not been for my days as a weekly resident at Club Space, I would never have had the privilege of displaying my talents on an international basis,” Schulz said.

Stay tuned with EDM.com as Schulz releases his World Tour 2015 compilation track by track.
