Eric Prydz Releases Stunning New Remix Of 'Opus' By Four Tet

English electronic musician Four Tet has a new remix of Eric Prydz track "Opus," which was released earlier this summer. Taking on "Opus" is no small feat, as the instant classic is hailed by many as an EDM anthem to rival deadmau5's legendary "Strobe." While it's an ambitious remix project, Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet lives up to the challenge in stride.

Four Tet is careful to not completely alienate the original version of the track, opting to leave a lengthy portion from Prydz's version in tact throughout the center of the remix. He opens the remix with a driving house beat with skittering high hats, muted bass tones, and spacey atmosphere.

After allowing these elements to build for a few minutes, Four Tet strips them away to reveal the familiar tempo rising synth from "Opus," brilliantly highlighting the beauty of the original.
