The International Music Summit Finds Success With Inaugural China Edition
The International Music Summit took place in Shanghai, China this weekend at Hyatt on the Bund, where a variety of speakers took the stage at the convention to discuss the country's growing music scene. The event featured discussions on electronic culture in China, branding in China, Chinese nightlife and more, with speakers such as Tiësto's manager Andrew Goldstone, Paul Oakenfold, artist manager for Above & Beyond, James Grant, and more.
In a comment, IMS co-founder Ben Turner expressed his excitement over bringing the convention to China.
“IMS is hugely excited to bring our electronic music platform to China for a special event in-conjunction with the Storm Festival. IMS has been designed to share knowledge and inspire delegates with debates and keynotes about the future of electronic music. China emerged as a huge point of interest during IMS Asia-Pacific and it became clear to us that it warranted its own discussion. And here we are with a scheduled day of fascinating insight into the region for those inside and outside of the region.”
