This Might Be The Most Profound Documentary EDM Will Ever Receive [VIDEO]

A new documentary is attempting to dissect the electronic music phenomenon that is taking over the world. Inspired by Canada's booming electronic music scene and currently looking for funding via a Kickstarter, the project has been dubbed I/O: An Electronic Music Documentary. Canadian filmmaker Kevan McGovern describes it as an exploration of "the connection between electronic music, human beings, and cultural anthropology."

The documentary is also set to feature electronic artists including Datsik, Rusko, Dieselboy, Opiuo, Dub Fx, Chali 2na, DJ Stickybuds, ill-esha, DJ Z-Trip and Longwalkshortdock.

As the documentary seeks funding, McGovern has released a video teaser as well as a short-form documentary on BC's premier electronic music festival Shambhala that has already made it to some Canadian theaters.

Check out the full documentary teaser as well as The Shambhala Experience trailer below, then head over to the Kickstarter here to support the film project.
