Duke Dumont Releases 4 Tracks As 'Blase Boys Club Part 1'
Grammy nominated producer Duke Dumont unveiled the first entry in his Blase Boys Club EP series this week, delivering four new groovy house tracks.
Dumont opens the mix in style with "Ocean Drive," which was previously released as the first single off the collection. "Robert Talking" opens with a monologue from legendary 80's house vocalist Robert Owens, describing how he first fell in love with the genre, accompanied by light soulful music and steady building percussion before erupting into a disco-tinged four on the floor drop.
"Melt" features garage flavored shuffling, broken beat rhythms and moody ambient pads layered beneath pitch shifted deep house styled vocals, serving as the EP's most emotive track. Dumont closes the pack with "Won't Look Back," a screamer of a house track with huge diva vocals, deep bass stabs and a chugging back beat.
