Bataclan Theater & Eagles of Death Metal Respond to Terrorist Attacks
After the horrific terrorist attacks around Paris on Friday, November 13, the location of the most deadly attack - the Bataclan theater - as well as the American band Eagles of Death Metal released statements regarding the tragic event.
The co-manager of the beloved 151-year-old historic theater, Dominique Revert told Billbaord that popular Latin phrase Fluctuat nec mergitur, meaning “Tossed but never sunk," will be the theater's motto moving forward before confirming that the theater will respond by continuing to be a beacon of arts and culture.
“It will reopen, no question about it. Hearts will be heavy for a few months, a few years. But we will reopen. We will not surrender.”
The members of Eagles of Death Metal responded with condolences, gratitude and an exclamation about music, Paris and EODM.
