Famous Film Score Composer Announces First-Ever Tour [VIDEO]

If you think back to some of your favorite film scores, you might be surprised to learn several of them came from one great musical mind: Hans Zimmer. The Oscar-winning composer from Frankfurt am Main, Germany has scored over 150 movies, most notably The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception and The Last Samurai.

Establishing himself as one of Hollywood's most respected film score composers and receiving his star at the Hollywood walk of fame back in 2010, Zimmer is now taking on a new frontier as a touring composer.

While his reputation as a composer is indisputable, Zimmer admits that this tour is a big step for himself personally as he spent many years avoiding the stage out of fear.

"I spent much of my life being terrified of being on stage. You can't have fear rule your life," Zimmer says.

As dance music fans can surely relate, music is all about communicating a feeling and while it's taken Zimmer years to take the stage as a touring composer, he's sure to play his way into the hearts of concert goers from the stage as he already has through films.

"Whether you're Bach or whether you're Pharrell Williams, coming here with a good tune is what it's really all about and Hans sure as hell does that."

Zimmer's firs-ever tour will kick off April 2016 in London and will see the composer making 19 stops around Europe. Check out Zimmer's tour teaser below...
